The app

Is Qahwa free?

Yes. Qahwa is free to download and free to play, with every game unlocked. Optional purchases are cosmetic only (card backs, avatar frames, table felts and VIP looks) and never change a game.

When can I download Qahwa?

Qahwa is in beta on Android and comes to Google Play soon. Join the beta from this site and we email you the invite. The Google Play button works from the day the listing is public. Join the beta

Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet. Qahwa is on Android first; an iPhone version is planned.

Which games are in Qahwa?

45 card games. From the Levant: Tarneeb, Syrian 41, 400, Trix, Leekha, Konkan and Banakil. From the Gulf: Baloot, Kout, Kout Bo 6, Hand, Hand Saudi and Hokm. From Egypt: Estimation, Basra and El-Shayeb. From the Maghreb: Chkobba, Ronda, Touti, Bent Al Sbeet and El Bazga. Latin favourites like Truco, Escoba and Chinchón, and world classics like Spades, Hearts and Solitaire.

Which languages does it speak?

Arabic and English; switch any time in Settings. Each game uses its own region's card words, and the table talks in Levantine, Gulf, Egyptian and Maghrebi Arabic.

Playing

Can I play offline?

Yes. Every game can be played offline against the computer, at Easy, Normal or Hard, without an account. Online tables, Diwaniya clans and the Cups need an internet connection.

Can I play with my friends?

Yes. Open a private table and send its link on WhatsApp: your friends tap it and sit down. Or found a Diwaniya and host majlis tables for your members. In partner games you choose who sits across from you.

How does quick match work?

Tap Play online. Qahwa looks for players from your country first, then your region, then anyone. If seats are still empty after 20 seconds, computer players fill them, each one marked with a Computer chip, so you never wait long.

Can I change the rules?

Yes. Every game has house rules you set before the deal: Dealer must bid in Tarneeb, doubling and Gahwa in Baloot, Dash Call in Estimation, the forced leekha in Leekha, and many more.

How do I learn a new game?

Every game has its rules inside the app, Tarneeb has a guided tutorial, and this site has step-by-step guides for ten games. Start against the computer on Easy.

How do I play Tarneeb?

Tarneeb is played by two teams of two with a 52-card deck. Bid how many tricks your team will take (7 to 13), name the trump suit if you win the bid, then make your bid. The first team to 41 points wins. Our Tarneeb guide explains the bidding and scoring step by step. Read the Tarneeb guide

Fair play

Are there bots pretending to be people?

No. Every computer player wears a Computer chip at the table, in quick match and at private tables alike. Quick match only adds them after 20 seconds without enough people. How we keep it fair

Is the deal rigged?

No. The computer is dealt from the same shuffle as everyone, and online tables seal the shuffle before the first card and reveal it after the game, so each phone checks that its own hand matches. Our fair-play page explains what this proves and what it does not prove yet. How we keep it fair

Is there gambling in Qahwa?

No. There is no real-money gambling: coins and beans can't be cashed out, and nothing you can buy changes your cards, your luck or the computer.

Are there ads?

No ad ever interrupts a game. When ads are switched on, they are short videos you choose to watch for a reward, such as doubling your daily reward, with a daily limit. Players under 13 never see ads.

I was banned. Can I appeal?

Yes. Decisions are made by a person. Appeal once from the app (Settings > Account) and you get an answer within 24 hours, or email support@playqahwa.com within 30 days with your Player ID. Offline play is never affected by a ban. How we keep it fair

Account and privacy

What about my privacy?

You can play every game offline without an account, and offline play sends nothing to us. Online play starts with an anonymous account that needs no email or phone number, there is no free-text chat with strangers, and you can delete your account in the app or on this site. Privacy policy

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings > Account > Delete account. Or use the delete-account form on this site; you will need your Player ID. Delete-account form

Email support@playqahwa.com in Arabic or English. Add your Player ID (Settings > Account) and a screenshot if you can. We reply within 48 hours, usually sooner.
