Delete your account and data
This page is for Qahwa, a card games app by Itani (Ahmed Itani, an individual developer in Ontario, Canada). It explains how to delete your online account and the data linked to it, what is deleted, what is kept and for how long.
If you only ever played offline, there is no account and nothing is stored on my servers: uninstalling the app deletes everything.
Option 1: in the app (fastest)
- Open Qahwa.
- Go to Settings > Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read the summary and confirm.
The deletion runs immediately and usually finishes within a few minutes. The app then signs you out. You can also choose to wipe your offline progress on this device at the same step. Uninstalling the app afterwards removes anything left on the device.
Subscriptions: deleting your account does not cancel a Qahwa VIP subscription in Google Play. Cancel it first in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions, so that you are not charged again.
Option 2: on the web (without the app)
Use this if you have uninstalled the app or cannot open it. You need your Player ID, shown in the app under Settings > Account (for example K7Q4-M2XD-93PA). Because accounts are anonymous, the Player ID is the only way to find your account, so keep it private.
If you cannot use the form, email privacy@playqahwa.com with the subject "Delete my account" and your Player ID.
Timeline: I confirm receipt by email (if you give one) and complete web requests within 30 days, usually much sooner. If I need more information to find your account, I will ask you by email.
If you no longer have your Player ID: without it I cannot identify an anonymous account. If you linked a Google account, email me from that Google address. Otherwise the account will be deleted automatically after 12 months without sign-in. You can still email me any details you remember (display name, clan name, approximate dates, a Google Play order number) and I will try.
What is deleted
- Your account identifier, your sign-in session and any linked Google account details.
- Your profile: display name, avatar, frame and country.
- Your progress and wallet: XP, level, statistics, coins, beans, Karam points, owned items, badges, missions, reward history, gifts and inbox rewards.
- Your clan membership, role, join requests, points and limits. If you are the Sheikh (leader), leadership passes to a deputy or the longest-standing member; if you are the only member, the clan is deleted.
- Your clan chat messages (preset phrases and stickers).
- Your seats in any open online table.
- Your block list, and your entries in other players' block lists.
- Your entries in Country Cup leaderboards and the hall of fame.
Virtual items, coins and beans have no cash value and cannot be restored or refunded after deletion, except where the law or Google Play's policies require it.
What is kept, and for how long
| Data | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase records (order ID, product, price, date, status, refunds), with your user ID replaced by a random code | Tax and accounting obligations; refunds and disputes | Up to 7 years after the purchase |
| Reports you sent or that concern you, with your user ID replaced by a random code and your name and note removed | To handle appeals and prevent repeat abuse | Up to 12 months after the case is closed |
| A record that a deletion was done (random request ID, date, status; no profile data) | To prove the request was completed | 12 months |
| Clan activity-log lines (for example "a member left"), with your name and ID removed | They are part of other members' shared history | Until the log entry expires (up to 90 days) or the clan is deleted |
| Aggregated totals (for example a country's weekly points) | They contain no personal data | As long as needed |
| Server logs held by Google Cloud | Security and debugging | About 30 days |
| Your support emails | To answer you and prove what was agreed | Up to 24 months |
| Data I am legally required to keep, or that is part of a report of illegal content to the authorities | Legal obligation | As long as the law requires |
Google Play keeps its own record of your payments under the Google Privacy Policy; you can manage it in your Google account.
After deletion, if you go online again, the app creates a new, empty account.
